GG 100: Introduction to Geography

Lab sections will meet in Sunderland ILC1 (PC lab in the basement) unless specified otherwise. The lab exercises present applied problems associated with ideas covered in lecture the previous or current week. Most of your time in the lab will be spent doing applications necessary to answer lab questions and write your report. Lab reports require you to consult reserve readings (in Starr Library) to help you analyze and interpret the exercise. You may use other sources as long as you cite them using correct style in you report. Lab reports are limited to 5 pages (excluding maps, graphs, and references). Therefore, you need to address the questions posed as completely, and as concisely, as possible.

Attendance in labs is required. If you are going to be absent from a lab meeting, please try to notify me in advance of the lab so we can schedule a make-up. Failure to do so will result in a sharply reduced grade on that lab. All labs must be completed even though only five reports will be submitted (see requirements for more on this).
